Necessary conditions for wave formation - No echo here (2021)

Installation

A hammer has two kinds of output. One is the knock that changes the physical state of an object, which is momentary. The other is the sound produced by the knocking, which is lasting. The project mainly discusses the sound (wave) produced by knocking on a specific environment and its spread. The locations where the percussion test takes place are mainly places symbolizing passage and boundary. The performer continuously knocks at nearby objects while moving.

No echo here

In the ruin halfway up a mountain, one can make whatever noise they want and break whatever rule they want. The place is like an overlooked corner or an end of society. No responses are to be found there. I'm knocking on objects at various locations.
